Monroe Sandel

  Monroe A. Sandel, 91, of Florien, died at Heritage manor Nursing
Home, following an extended illness on Friday, Feb. 10, at 10:30
p.m.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jessie Sandel of Florien; five
daughters, Mrs. Catherine Self, and Mrs. Mary Anderson, both of
Florien, Mrs. Addie Baxter of Natchitoches, Mrs. Jessie V. Grimes
of Pasadena, Tex., and Mrs. Sammie Morales of New Orleans; one
brother, Ira Sandel of Florien; one sister, Mrs. Emmaline Curtis
of Hornbeck; 16 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Feb. 12, at the
Prospect United Methodist Church. The Rev. A. H. Hoffpauir
officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the
direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
