Lela Curtis Sandell

  Funeral services for Lela Curtis Sandell were held at 2 p.m.,
Friday, March 17, in the Oak Grove Bible Baptist Church in
Hornbeck, with the Rev. F. M. Belsha officiating. Burial was in
the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Funeral
Home of Leesville.

  Mrs. Sandell, 98, of Florien, passed away March 17, in the
Sabine Medical Center in Many.

  She was born in Ratan, La., and was a housewife.

  She is survived by eight sons, Floyce Sandell, and Chris
Sandell, both of Toro, La., Troy Sandell of Hornbeck, Huey
Sandell of Beaumont, Loye Sandell of Converse, Jack Sandell of
New Waverly, Tex., Autry Sandell of Minden, and Talmadge Sandell
of Houston, Tex.; four daughters, Floy Jordan of Florien, Una
Savell of Port Neches, Tex., Lela Evans of Florien, and Veral
Hutchinson of Houston, Tex.; 26 grandchildren; 50 great
grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
