All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Loye Sandell (Photo) Funeral services for Loye Sandell, 74, of Converse, were held on Sunday, Dec. 22, at 1:30 p.m., at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield. Robert Elliott, pastor of God's Church Worldwide, officiated. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery. Mr. Sandell was an accomplished master woodsman, who spent many years in a profession that he loved. He retired from both Continental Can-Kiewit Co., and Willamette Industries Inc. In recognition of his service and dedication, Willamette Industries Inc. dedicated a 440 acre tract in Sabine Parish, and named it The Loye Sandell tract. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bobbie (Bowman) Sandell; three daughters, Loynell Hooper, wife of Jim Hooper, Kay Gates, wife of Joe Gates, and Melanie Manshack, wife of Sonny Manshack; five grandchildren, Dustin Ferguson, wife of Douglas Ferguson, Halston Manshack, Tyler Basco, Asa Basco, and Zachary Mills; two great grandchildren, Dawson, and Draydin Ferguson; five brothers; and four sisters. Pallbearers were Jimmy Sheffield, Anthony Ebarb, Ed Smith, Spencer McFarland, Rex Heard, Mike Jenkins, Eric Hall, and Raymond Remedies. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Evans, and Bill Powell.
