The Sabine Index - Marian Sanders

  July 12 1973

  A missionary who served several years in Sabine Parish, near
Zwolle, under the state missionary board died Wednesday, July 4
at 6 a.m. in Mexico.

  Miss Marian Sanders, a Baptist missionary to Mexico had lived
two years at Montgut and Point-au-Chien where she was serving as
a home missionary.

  She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Sanders, Sr.
of Banberg, S.C.; three brothers, Guy Sanders of Bamberg; Rev.
Perry R. Sanders of Lafayette and Gerald E. Sanders of Atlanta,
Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Robert E. Lewis of Fairfax, S. C., five
nephews and three nieces.

  Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church of
Lafayette with her brother, the Rev. Sanders, officiating. Burial
was in her hometown of Bamberg, S. C.
