Interment followed at Ft. Jesup Cemetery, with Rev. Bill Hines, and Rev. Bob Spear officiating. Mrs. Sanders graduated from Many High School, received a B.A. Degree from Northwestern State College, and a Master's Degree in Library Science from L.S.U. She served as librarian for California Oil Co. (Chevron) for many years, and retired as a school librarian in Jefferson Parish. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sabine Chapter, and the Eastern Star. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Many. She is survived by a sister, Bessie C. Elliott of Many; two nieces, Carole Elliott Nett of Gramercy, and Susan Cutrer Pate of Shreveport; three nephews, Jerry Cutrer of Roswell, Ga., Ted Mims of Springfield, Ill., and George O. Elliott Jr. of Hornbeck; a stepson, Lynn Sanders of Fla. Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband, Murrah A. Sanders; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Cutrer Sr.; a brother, Warren Cutrer; and a sister, Vernice C. Mims. Pallbearers will be Ted Mims, Alan Fullerton, Marvin Adams, Raymond Isgitt, Don Nett, and W. E. "Boots" Hayes.
