Canaan Sanders

  Funeral services for Canaan John Sanders, 67, of Hornbeck, were
held July 20, at 2 p.m., in the Oak Grove Baptist Church, with
the Rev. E. E. Castillow officiating. Burial was held in the Oak
Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of
Leesville.

  Mr. Sanders died July 18, in a Many hospital, after a short
illness.

  Survivors include his widow; three sons, Bennie Sanders, and
Larry Sanders, both of Vidor, Tex., and Lanice Sanders of
Hornbeck; two daughters, Mrs. Donis Chance, and Mrs. Verna
Horton, both of Vidor; one sister, Mrs. Rosa Kowrtney of Singer;
and 22 grandchildren.
