Oliver Lud Sanders

  Oliver Lud Sanders, 87, of Pleasant Hill, died Friday, March 21,
in a Pleasant Hill hospital, after a short illness.

  He was the father of Louisiana Supreme Court Justice Joe W.
Sanders, and a past president of the Sabine Parish School Board.

  Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Sunday, in the First Baptist
Church of Pleasant Hill, with the Rev. Vernon Stephenson
officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Sanders is also survived by two other sons, Fred S. Sanders, and
Frank T. Sanders, both of Pleasant Hill; two daughters, Mrs. D.
J. McIntyre of Lincoln Park, Mich., and Mrs. Sam Dyer of Baker;
16 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Sidney Sanders, Ray Sanders, David Sanders,
Terry Sanders, Fred Sanders Jr., Stanley Neel, Jerry Sanders.
