Mrs. Oxie Lee Sanders

  Mrs. Oxie Lee Sanders, 80, of Pleasant Hill, died at her home in
Pleasant Hill on Tuesday, May 14, at 10:10 a.m.

  Mrs. Sanders is survived by her husband, O. L. Sanders Sr. of
Pleasant Hill; three sons, Chief Justice Joe W. Sanders of New
Orleans, Fred S. Sanders, and Frank Sanders, both of Pleasant
Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Oxie Lee McIntyre of Lincoln Park,
Michigan, and Mrs. Lola Mae Dyer of Baker, La.; and one sister,
Mrs. Bird Thurlo of Houston, Tex.

  Mrs. Sanders is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 16 great
grandchildren.

  Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 16,
at the Pleasant Hill First Baptist Church. The Rev. Vernon
Stephenson will officiate.

  Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the
direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many.

  Pallbearers will be Travis Allen, Herbert Slay, W. O. Woods,
Johnny Murray, Thomas Hardy III, and DeWitt Jackson.
