The Sabine Index - C. B. Small, Sr. 
  
  3 Sep 1948 - Funeral services for C. B. Small Sr., who died 
suddenly at his home Wednesday, Aug. 25, about 9 a.m., were held 
at the First Baptist church 4 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Charles S. 
Miers, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. W. M. Greer, pastor 
Calvary Baptist church. Pallbearers were J. J. Blake, T. M. 
Phillips, Reuben Goodman, Robert Lucius, J. B. Vandegaer and H. 
J. Ritter. 
  
  Interment was in Many cemetery under direction Massingill 
funeral home. 
  
  Mr. Small was a life-long resident of Sabine parish, being a 
retired farmer and cattleman. 
  
  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. C. B. Small, Sr., Many; a son, 
C. B. Small, JR., two granddaughters, Mary and Sylvia Small, all 
of Shreveport, three brothers, T. V., Many, Perry, Florien; Eli, 
Port Arthur, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Clara McGarrahan, Mrs. 
Pauline Snell and Mrs. Cuzzie Landrum, all of Many.
