The Sabine Index - Alex Small

  15 Feb 1957 - Funeral services for Alex Small, 86, who died at
the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. L. Holcomb after an extended
illness Saturday, Feb. 9 was conducted at Mt. Olive Baptist
church at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10 with Rev. Ed Shuflin officiating
assisted by Rev. Andrew Jackson and Rev. Versie Miller. Interment
was in church cemetery under the direction of Warren Funeral
home.

  Survivors are daughters, Mrs. Jeff McCollister, Mrs. Jack
Maxey, Mrs. A. L. Holcomb, Mrs. Ben McCollister, all of Many,
Mrs. Howard Wright of Negreet, Mrs. Ralph Brooks of Los Angeles,
Calfi.; sons, Buck Small, Jack Small, Andrew Small and Carson
Small of Many, Mack Small of Oakdale; Hoyt Small of LeFitte;
sister, Mrs. Lona Jackson; brothers, Jack Small of Many; 24
grandchildren, two great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were H. D. Wright, Benard McCollister, Tyrice and
Charlie Maxey, Joe and William Holcomb.
