Small 14 Nov 1968 - Funeral services for the Rev. H. E. Small, 58, were held in the Calvary Baptist Church at Lufkin, Texas Monday, Oct. 21. Interment was in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. The Rev. Small died Sunday, Oct. 26, after a brief illness. He was born July 17, 1915 in Fisher and had resided in Lufkin since 1951. He graduated from Florien High School in 1932, Louisiana College in 1942 with a BA Degree, Southwestern Seminary with a BD degree in 1946 and Southwestern Seminary with NFRE degree in 1947. In addition to serving as pastor in Lufkin, he has severed churches in Sabine Parish and other surrounding areas of Louisiana and Texas. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rena Small of Lufkin; two daughters, Mrs. David Keene of Paramaribo Suriman, South America and Miss Francis Small of Lufkin; a grandson; and two brothers, Herbert Small of Fisher and Paul Small of Tampa, Fla.
