All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - James Alton Small 6 Jan 1956 - Funeral services for James Alton Small, 42, who was killed instantly about 11 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 31, when the automobile in which he was driving crashed into a tree near Kinder, was conducted at the chapel at Warren Funeral Home, Monday, Jan. 2 at 10 a.m. with Rev. W. M. Greer and Rev. V. L. Prewitt officiating. Interment was in Jerusalem cemetery under the direction of Warren Funeral Home. Survivors are mother, Mrs. George Small of Beaumont, Texas; sister, Mrs. Kathleen, brothers Benaugh of Many; Leslie of Ruston; and Huey of Leesville. Pallbearers were Buck Small, Jack Small, Carson Small, Andrew Small, Clyde Small and Arthur McCollister. Mr. Small was a veteran of World War II. He was employed as an oil field worker in South Louisiana.
