  Mrs. H. E. Small - October 18, 1973

  Services for Mrs. H. E. Small, 57, of Lufkin, Tex. widow of the
late Rev. Howard E. Small, were conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday,
Oct. 12, in the Gipson Funeral Home, Chapel in Lufkin, Tex., with
Rev. Bill Hines and Dr. Scott Tatum officiating and burial
following in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

  Mrs. Small was born Sept. 3, 1916 in Natchitoches Parish, La.,
and passed away Wednesday afternoon in a Lufkin hospital
following an extended illness. She had lived in Lufkin for 22
years and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

  Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Judy Keene, Pittsburgh, Pa.,
and Mrs. Fran Cobb, Houston, Tex.; mother, Mrs. Nancy Funderburk,
Florien, La.; 2 brothers, Rev. A> M. Funderburk, Atlanta, Tex.,
and Rev. J. I. Funderburk, Logansport, La.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Neoma
Crager, Shreveport, La., and Mrs. Velma Miller, Florien, La.
grandson, John Keene, Pittsburgh, Pa.

  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make
memorial contribution to the Howard E. Small Memorial Scholarship
Fund of Angelina College.
