Mack James Small

  Funeral services for Mack James Small, 74, were held on
Thursday, August 25, at 10 p.m., in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church,
Oakdale, La.

  The Rev. Roger Whittington, and Rev. Jerry Johnson officiated.
Burial was in McGee Cemetery, Oakland, La., under the direction
of Ardoin Funeral Home.

  Mr. Small died Tuesday, August 23, 1994, at his residence.

  A native of Many, Mr. Small was a resident of Oakdale for 47
years, a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, where he was Sunday
School Secretary for 30 years, a retired foreman with the Allen
Parish Police Jury.

  Survivors include his wife, Beulah McGee Small of Oakdale; one
son, Bob Small of Alexandria; two daughters, Geneva Small of
Oakdale, and Mrs. Kyle "Dianne" Talbot of Baton Rouge; three
sisters, Winnie Mae Maxey of Many, Lucy Wright of Negreet, and
Ferbia Triggs of Los Angeles, Calif.; two grandsons, Drew, and
Dean Talbot, both of Baton Rouge.
