Snell, 79, of Hornbeck, died Tuesday, March 22, in Leesville, after a long illness. Funeral services were held March 24, at 10 a.m., in the Prewitt's Chapel in Hornbeck, with the Rev. J. C. Leach officiating. Burial was in the Prewitt Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. He is survived by his widow; four sons, Mack Odell, Darnell Snell, all of Hornbeck, and Harwin Snell of Houston, Tex.; six daughters, Mrs. Haxel Harris, Mrs. Myrtis Bonner, and Mrs. Laverne Eckart, and Mrs. Ocie Lea Parkes, both of Hornbeck, Mrs. Pearl Lockhart, and Mrs. Grace Brull? Both of Houston, Tex.; two brothers, Mitchell Snell, and F. J. Snell, both of Hornbeck; one sister, Mrs. E. E. Stewart of Leesville; 28 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
