Snell, 69, of Hornbeck, died Friday, Oct. 14, in Shreveport, after an extended illness. Funeral services were held in Oak Grove Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 16, with the Rev. Robert Graham, the Rev. E. W. Lord, and the Rev. Wayne Reed officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maggie Snell; one daughter, Mrs. Joyce Snell Cox of Baton Rouge; one brother, Frances J. Snell of Hornbeck; one sister, Mrs. E. E. Stewart of Leesville; and two grandchildren. Mr. Snell was a retired barber, and a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish. Pallbearers were Tom Logan Jr., Bill Logan, Gene Chance, Joe Bowden, Frank Jones, and Kenneth Jones.
