Snelling, 70, of Converse, La., were held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 12, at the First Baptist Church of Converse. The Rev. James Miller officiated. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home in Mansfield, La. Mrs. Snelling died Wednesday, July 10, 1985, in Shreveport, after a lengthy illness. She was a housewife, and had lived in the community of Converse for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Guy Snelling. She is survived by four sons, Guy E. Snelling of Natchitoches, La., Jerry Snelling of Converse, Walter E. Snelling of Shreveport, and Paul W. Snelling of Longview, Texas; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild; one brother, Alfred McDonald; and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Bell Stevens, both of Pleasant Hill, La.
