Mason Simmons

  Mason Simmons, 87, of Many, died Sunday, April 17, at 2 a.m.,
after an extended illness.

  Survivors are his wife, Vida Simmons of Many; one son, Grady
Simmons of Many; three daughters, Mrs. Odis Cobb of Mansfield,
Mrs. Rayford Dison of Haynesville, and Mrs. Wayne Martin of
Conroe, Tex.; one brother, Johnny Simmons of Many, and one
sister, Onie Simmons of Many; 19 grandchildren, 24 great
grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Trinity Baptist Church,
Monday, April 18, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. H. H. Tibbitts, and
the Rev. Ray Hope officiating. Burial was in the Oxley Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
