Simmons, and Mrs. Hattie Lou Simmons, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, in the United Pentecostal Church of Noble, with the Rev. Mike Hudspeth, the Rev. Jerry Green, and the Rev. Larry Gandy officiating. Burial was in Noble Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Mr. Simmons, born Oct. 8, 1911, in Hunter, La., departed this life at 11:05 a.m., April 20, 1986, after a sudden illness. Mrs. Simmons, born June 24, 1911, in Noble departed this life at 12:40 p.m., April 19, 1986, after a sudden illness. As they shared their life together, they departed this life together. They were preceded in death by their son, Huey Wayne; and one grandson. They were survived by three sons, Donald G. Simmons of Shreveport, Jerry I. Simmons of Stonewall, and Bobby Simmons of Noble; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Mr. Simmons was also survived by three brothers, M. O. Simmons of Gassville, Ark., W. Alton Simmons of Jannibal, Mo., and M. E. "Joe" Simmons of Nacogdoches, Texas. Mrs. Simmons was also survived by her mother, Mrs. Rena Webb of Noble; two brothers, Willis Webb of Noble, and Raymond Webb of Converse; five sisters, Adelle Webb, Mabel Webb, Pauline Elliot, all of Noble, Charlotte Wilburn of Pelican, La., and Mary Jean Thompson of Mitchell, La. The will be missed greatly by all their family and friends. Pallbearers were Ricky, Kevin, Nathan, Gordon, Darrel, and Paul Simmons, Keith Smith, L. H. Williams., Leon Campbell, Troy Webb, Bernard Ryals, and Talton McDonald. Honorary pallbearers will be Valery McDonald, Michael Kubat, Mike Akers, and Brian Bolton.
