Mrs. Lucille Sparks Simmons (Photo)

  Mrs. Lucille Sparks Simmons, 93, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999,
at her daughter's home in Saratoga, Texas.

  Graveside services were held Friday, Aug. 13, with interment
following at Warren Cemetery. Sam Baxter officiated.

  Survivors include two sons, Leon L. Simmons Jr. of Saratoga,
Texas, and Bill Simmons and wife LaVerne of Long Beach, Calif.;
two daughters, Betty Lawrence of Kountze, Texas, and Chlotilde
Jackson of Saratoga, Texas; one sister, Minnie Edwards of
Leesville; one sister-in-law, Wilma Sparks of Natchitoches; six
grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two great-great
grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mrs.
Simmons is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Leon L. Simmons
Sr.; and infant daughter, Dorothy.

  Pallbearers were Jason, and Christopher Brown, Lonny George,
Steve Tidwell, Dennis, and Raymond Sparks.
