Rev. Leroy Simmons

  Funeral services were held for the Rev. and Mrs. Leroy V.
Simmons, both 50, of Groves, Texas, at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March
22, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. C. K.
Williams, the Rev. R. W. Sistrunk, and the Rev. James Bond
officiating.

  Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of Hixson
Funeral Home of DeRidder.

  The Simmons were killed Monday, March 20, in a two car
collision, three miles west of DeQuincy.

  The Rev. Simmons was pastor of the Ninth Ave. Baptist Church in
Groves, Tex.

  Among the survivors of the Rev. Simmons is a brother, W. G.
Simmons of Converse.
