Mrs. Mandy Simmons

  Funeral services for Mrs. Mandy Simmons, 70, were held Nov. 1,
at 11 a.m., at the Trinity Baptist Church, with the Rev. H. H.
Tibbitts officiating.

  Burial was in Oxley Cemetery, with Warren Funeral Home in
charge.

  Mrs. Simmons died in Pineville, La., Oct. 31, after a long
illness.

  Survivors include her husband, L. M. Simmons of Many; two sons,
Grady, and Hoyt Simmons of Many; three daughters, Mrs. Arlene
Dison of Haynesville, La., Mrs. Eveline Cobb of Mansfield, Mrs.
Pauline Martin of Shreveport; five brothers, Henry, Tim,
Hezekiah, Jim, and Edward Oxley, all of Many; two sisters, Mrs.
Lillie Brumley, and Mrs. Emma Hayes, both of Many; 18
grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Francis Oxley, Bill Lester, Odie Mitchell,
Henry Miller, Otha Miller, and Jewel Slay.
