The Sabine Index - Joseph P. Skinner

  28 Apr 1933 - With the expiring of Joseph P. Skinner, age 62, at
Belmont Monday afternoon at two o'clock Sabine parish lost on of our
most progressive and neighborly citizens.

  Funeral services were at Belmont Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. Holliday
officiating.

  Uncle Joe has been in ill health for about a year, suffering from a
cancer near the spine.  For months he has been in a lingering
condition, after all medical ail had failed.

  Deceased is survived by his widow and the following children:  Herman
and Lemmie of Belmont, Mrs. Marlow Booth, Belmont, Miss Velda Skinner
of Shreveport, and Mrs. Norma Skinner of Belmont.
