Skinner, 59?, died Thursday, Jan. 2, in Montgomery, Ala., at his home, of a sudden illness. Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 6, in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, with the Rev. Don Harbuck officiating, assisted by the Rev. Guy Murphy. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home. Mr. Skinner was a former resident of Mansfield. Survivors include his widow; one son, Charles Thomas Skinner of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Carl Skinner of Belmont, and Albert Skinner of Magnolia, Ark.; five sisters, Mrs. Lela Wright of Belmont, Mrs. Bess Powell of Florien, Mrs. Carrie Phillips of Lake Charles, Mrs. Dell Brooks of New Orleans, and Mrs. Nell Theriot of Lake Charles.
