Skinner, 72, suffered a heart attack and passed away while at work near his residence on Dec. 9. Mr. Skinner was a life-long resident of Belmont,. He was marred on Nov. 30, 1902, to Miss Belle Currie, who survived him, also one son, O. M. Skinner, of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. G. J. Jones of DeRidder, Mrs. Edna Cobb of Negreet; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Skinner was a faithful member of Union Baptist church, was associate teacher of the adult mens class at the time of his death. He will surely be missed in church for he associate teacher of the adult mens class at the time of his death. He will surely be missed in church for he was always present when his health would permit and ready and willing to do his part in helping to advance the work of the church and community. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Walter Haley of Beaumont, Texas, assisted by Rev. Oliver Roberts of Belmont and Rev. Clepper of DeRidder with burial in Belmont cemetery under the direction of Drewett funeral home of Mansfield. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased.
