Velma Austin Skinner

  Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Austin Skinner, 72, were held
Friday, April 20, at 10 a.m., in the Union Baptist Church in
Belmont. Interment followed in the Belmont Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. Johnny Garrett
officiated.

  Mrs. Skinner died Wednesday, April 18, in the Schumpert Medical
Center.

  She is survived by her mother, Lola Horn Austin of Belmont; two
sons, Dale Skinner, and Don Skinner; one daughter, Mavis
Stephens, all of Zwolle; two sisters, Jo Austin Branson of
Belmont, and Beverly Brown of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Jody
Skinner, Joey Skinner, Karl Stephens, Kandace Hornsby, Mike
Skinner, Leah Skinner; two great grandchildren, Jake Hornsby, and
Zachary Skinner; numerous nieces and nephews.

  She was preceded in death by husband, Willis Carl Skinner;
father John Alvin Austin; and brother, Marvin D. Austin.
