Louis Skinner, 72, of Many, were held Friday, Oct. 18, 1996, at 2 p.m., in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. Jimmy Evans, and Rev. Larry DeLoach. Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Mr. Skinner passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Sabine Medical Center in Many. He was a former resident of Natchitoches, a native of Florien, and was a WWII Navy veteran. He was also a retired Baptist minister, but was still serving many churches in the area. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy P. Skinner of Many; one son, Louis Steve Skinner of Natchitoches; two daughters, Paulette Cannon, and Terri Williams, both of Many; three sisters, Mrs. Melva Curry, and Mrs. Bessie Weldon of Florien, and Mrs. Pearlie Dupree of Mansfield; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
