Skinner, age 48, of Natchitoches, who passed away suddenly Saturday, May 19, at 5:30 p.m., at his home, were conducted at the Emanuel Baptist Church, at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 20, with Rev. Roy Flurry officiating, assisted by the Rev. Artis Ricks. Interment was in Fern Park Cemetery, under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Pallbearers were A. J. Buckley, Clem Doxey, Chester Hilton, Norman Knippers, Vandy Pentecost, and Sammie Wall. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Key Skinner of Natchitoches; his mother, Mrs. Clara Addison Skinner of Many; two sisters, Mrs. W. C. Alford, and Mrs. C. C. Alford, both of Many. Mr. Skinner was a native of Sabine Parish, and was a watchmaker, a member of the Floyd Jordan American Legion Post of Many. He was a veteran of World War II.
