Mrs. Amanda Sawyer

  Mrs. Amanda Sawyer, 85, of Bellwood, La., died after an extended
illness, on Dec, 26, at 12:10 p.m.

  She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Eunice Kennedy of
Benton, Mrs. Verda Montgomery of Bellwood, and Mrs. Joyce
Montgomery of Pollock; seven grandchildren, and 16 great
grandchildren.

  Services were held in the Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel on
Thursday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m., with interment in the Bellwood
Cemetery, with the Rev. B. L. Dinkins, and the Rev. Houston
Mitchell officiating.

  Pallbearers were her grandsons.
