Thelma Jean Scarborough

  Mrs. Thelma Jean Scarborough, 68, of Baytown, Tex., died in the
Gulf Coast Hospital in Baytown, on August 1, at 4 p.m.

  Surviving relatives are two daughters, Verna Creamer of Macon,
Georgia, and Connie Strawther of Rusk, Tex.; one brother, Elmer
Cobb of Provencal, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel O'Bannon, and
Mrs. Ovie Brewster of Provencal; six grandchildren; and two great
grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held in the Provencal Baptist Church,
Thursday, Aug. 4, at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell
officiating. Interment was in the Friendship Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Pallbearers were David Oliver, Danny Oliver, Red Scarborough,
Kenneth Lee, Charles Cobb, Bobby Broadway, and Bill Wester.
