J. B. Sherwood

  Services for Mr. J. B. Sherwood, 72, of Converse, were held
Monday, July 1, at 2 p.m., in the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Officiating was the Rev. Herring. Interment was in Oak Grove
Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home in
Mansfield.

  Mr. Sherwood was a life long resident of Converse, and a retired
oil field worker. He died Sunday, June 30, at the DeSoto Hospital
in Mansfield, following a long illness.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elaine Cooper Sherwood; a son,
James Hughes Sherwood, both of Converse; a daughter, Mrs. Ann S.
Terrell of Shreveport; a sister, Miss Juanita Sherwood of
Alexandria; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a
host of nieces and nephews.
