All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Geneva Exa Bossier Sherwood Funeral services for Geneva Exa Bossier Sherwood were held at 11 a.m., on March 22, at Fellowship Baptist Church, Oak Grove Community near Converse. She passed away after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Sherwood, a Louisiana native, lived 40 years in Port Arthur, Texas, before returning to Sabine Parish in 1970. She was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church, Port Arthur, for 40 years, and of Fellowship Baptist Church, Converse from 1970 to present. A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Sherwood's death is mourned by husband, Dewey T. Sherwood of Converse; son, Don T. Sherwood of Jackson, Miss.; and daughter, Alice Weeks of Houston, Tex. Daughter, Billie Singletary of Port Arthur, Tex., preceded her mother in death. Mrs. Sherwood is also survived by two sisters, Wilda Massey of Union Springs, and Alma VanVeckhoven of Florien. Grandchildren of Mrs. Sherwood are Pat Singletary, Tim Singletary, Connie Weeks, Ronnie Weeks, Terry Weeks, and Cathey Weeks Fontenot. Others sharing the loss are eleven grandchildren, family members, and friends.
