Officiating was Rev. Bob Hannigan. Assisting was Rev. Jimmy Price, and Rev. Marvin Ingles. Interment was at Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Mansfield. Mr. Sherwood died Thursday, Dec. 5, at his residence, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Converse. He was a motorman for Murco Drilling Company, and a member of San Patricio Baptist Church. Mr. Sherwood was preceded in death by his parents, J. B. Sherwood and Elaine Sherwood. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sylvia Deason Sherwood; one son, Jimmy Sherwood and wife Michelle of Carthage, Texas; daughters, Patti Watson of Vidor, Texas, Karen Laffitte and husband Tim of Shreveport, Dottie Adkison and husband Boyd of Mansfield, Bonnie Raborn and husband Bobby of Converse; sister, Ann Terrell and husband Floyd of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren, Angel Sherwood, Derek Laffitte, Casey Adkison, Robby Raborn, Chelsea Sherwood, Cole Adkison, Sheldon Sherwood, and Shelby Laffitte; aunt, Maybelle Stone of Morrow, Ga. Pallbearers were Ricky McDonald, Ricky Shoalmire, Jerry Henry, Randy Shoalmire, Gerald Ezernack, Ronald McDonald, Jeff Farmer, and Bud Sepulvado. Honorary pallbearers were Buddy McDonald, Hoss Shoalmire, Sonny Shoalmire, Buster Mary, and Junior Wedges.
