All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Alice Blanche Shirley Services for Alice Blanche Shirley, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14, in Calvary Baptist Church near Natchitoches, with the Revs. Russell Jamison, and Earl Marr officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, under direction of Blanchard-St. Denis of Natchitoches. Mrs. Shirley, 86, of Natchitoches, died at 2:05 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 12, in Natchitoches Parish Hospital's Longterm Care Unit. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and a native of DeQueen, Ark. Survivors include five sons, Marvin L. Shirley of Aztec, N. M., Robert W. Shirley of Many, Edgar D. Shirley, and Roy G. Shirley, both of Natchitoches, and the Rev. Clifford F. Shirley of Winnsboro; three sisters, Lucy Potter of Harrison, Ark., Clara Weems, and Margie Behan, both of Leesville; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandsons, David Shirley, James Shirley, Ronald Shirley, Randy Shirley, Michael Shirley, Keith Shirley, Edward Shirley, and Mark Shirley.
