Blanche D. Shirley

  Services for Mrs. Blanche D. Shirley, 76, were held at 3 p.m.,
Saturday, February 23, at the Jennings Chapel Methodist Church in
Marthaville. Rev. Foster Jennings officiated the service.
Interment followed in the Jennings Chapel Cemetery, under the
direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel.

  Mrs. Shirley died Friday, February 22, in Mansfield, after a
lengthy illness. She was born in Bethany, and had been a resident
of Mansfield since 1973. She was a member of the Jennings Chapel
Methodist Church.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Shirley.

  Survivors include one son, Henry S. Shirley of Marthaville; one
daughter, Dorothy Serbonne of Shreveport; two sisters, Allie
Birdwell, and Lois Durr, both of Marthaville; two grandchildren;
two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
