The Sabine Index - Harvey Byrd

  25 Sep 1942 - Mrs. A. S. Byrd received a message Sunday morning
telling her of the death of her eldest son, Harvey Byrd, age 48
years, who died of a heart attack Saturday night at his home in
Neosho, Mo. He is survived by a wife and two children by Mrs.
Otis Rhodes of Many, his first wife, his mother, Mrs. A. S. Byrd,
and the following sisters, Miss Alie Byrd, New Orleans, Mrs. L.
C. Gardner, New Orleans; Mrs. Lena Lohman, Shreveport; Mrs. W. M.
Jones, Shreveport; Mrs. Roy Duggan and Mrs. H. B. Holland, Many.

  Mr. Byrd was in Many with his mother and sisters last Mother's
Day. They have the sympathy of their friends at the loss of an
only son and brother.

The Sabine Index - Mrs. Minnie Dalton

  4 Sep 1942 - Funeral rites for Mrs. Minnie Dalton, age 73 years,
were held Tuesday at 10 o'clock at Prospect, near Florien, with
interment in the Prospect cemetery, Dennis-Green funeral home in
charge. Rev. Julius McCormick officiated.

  Surviving are: Willie Dalton, Gandy, N. P. Dalton, Florien; Mrs.
Mae Savell, Dess; Mrs. Nora Russell, Robeline, also 21
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The Sabine Index - Mrs. Tishie Tynes

  4 Sep 1942 - Last rites for Mrs. Tishie Tynes age 69 years, were
held last Saturday at four o'clock at Corleyville Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints. Revs. Fred Wagley, W. M. Muse and R.
Kent Fielding officiated. Interment was in the Mt. Carmel
Cemetery under the direction of the Dennis-Green funeral home.

  Surviving are three sons, Raborn Tynes, W. R. Tynes, and R. H.
Tynes, all of Holopaw, Fla., and two daughters, Mrs. Bertie
Randolph of Many route one and Mrs. Susie Pantallion of Florien
route one; also two brothers, Raborn Miller of Florien route one
and Zeb Miller of Florien.

  Mrs Tynes was the widow of the late Leander Tynes. She passed
away Friday night after a brief illness.
