Mrs. Fredonia Steele Anthony

  7 Sep 1945 - Funeral rites for Mrs. Fredonia Steele Anthony, age
88 years, were held 11 o'clock Monday, Aug. 29, from Victoria
church Rev. W. G. Bailey officiated. Interment was in Caldwell
cemetery, Hixson funeral home of DeRidder in charge. Mrs. Anthony
died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Barr.

  Surviving are: five daughters, Mrs. J. W. Fletcher, Henderson,
Texas, Mrs. W. P. Addison, Shreveport, Mrs. Nettie Turner,
Leesville, Mrs. J. W. Barr, Columbas, Mrs. T. L. White, Orange,
Texas; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.

  Pallbearers were: Melvin Miller, Ross Salter, Leo Miller, W. B.
Boman, P. S. Salter, Joel Fletcher.

  Mrs. Anthony was a native of Sabine parish having resided in the
Columbas community for 69 years.

Floyd William Funderburk

  7 Sep 1945 - Rites for Floyd William Funderburk, age one month,
were held 11 a.m. last Wednesday from Antioch church with Rev. W.
G. Bailey officiating. Interment was in Antioch cemetery,
Massingill funeral home in directing.

  Surviving: parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Funderburk, nine brothers
and sisters.

Mrs. Susan A. McMillan

  7 Sep 1945 - Funeral rites for Mrs. Susan A. McMillan, age 105,
years were held 11 o'clock Tuesday from Victoria church. Rev. J.
P. Fortenberry officiated. Massingill funeral home directing.

  Pallbearers were: C. C. Davis, G. G. McNeely, H. F. McNeely, L.
C. Miers, Roy Evans, and Lester Savell.

  Mrs. McMillian was the oldest citizen of Sabine parish, coming
here from Alabama 69 years ago.

  Surviving are: son, W. J. McMillian, step-son, R. N. McMillian,
13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and seven
great-great-grandchildren.

  21 Sep 1945 - Funeral rites for Miss Beulah Britt, age 22 years,
were held 5 p.m. last Friday from Beulah Baptist church. Rev.
Clark Hoyt officiated, Massingill funeral home directing.

  Surviving are: parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Britt, Negreet;
sisters, Mrs. Dessie Busby and Mrs. Ava Busby, Florien, Mrs.
Katherine Melder, Mrs. Pilvie Phillips, and Miss Audry Lee Britt,
Zwolle, Mrs. Sylvia Matlon, Fort Sill, Okla,; brothers, Warren
Britt of Pendleton, Clyde James, Galon, J. H. and Billy Gene
Britt, all of Negreet.
