Jerry Schmucker, pastor, Converse Baptist church officiating. Interment was in Union Springs cemetery with arrangements be Drewitt funeral home, Mansfield. Mr. Copeland, retired farmer and prominent citizen of Converse, had been ill for a long time. Surviving are a brother, George Copeland of Oklahoma and a sister, Mrs. E. Copeland 9 Sep 1949 - The condition of Mrs. Robert L. Copeland, who was seriously injured last Friday in an automobile accident which took the live of her husband, a 63-year-old merchant of Bronson, Texas is reported improved at Allen sanitarium, Converse. The accident occurred on U. S. highway 171 last Friday afternoon. As the Copelands turned into the driveway of Allen sanitarium they were struck from the rear by a Herrin company transportation truck. The truck driver, C. Knight, escaped injury. Mr. Copeland suffered a fractured pelvis, internal injuries and severe shock. He died at the sanitarium two hours later. Mrs. Copeland was hospitalized for rib fracture and severe chest injuries. The Copelands were arriving from Bronson, Texas to visit his brother, Joe, who was ill at Allen sanitarium. Funeral services for deceased were held 2 p.m. Sunday from Union Springs Baptist church near Mansfield, Interment was in Union Springs cemetery with arrangements by Drewitt funeral home of Mansfield. Mr. Copeland is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Ray E. Droddy, Lake Charles and Mrs. J. F. Zion Baptist church with Rev. J. D. Scott, Pineville, and Rev. Pierce, Mt. Zion officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion cemetery under direction Massingill funeral home. Pallbearers were: Homer Farrar, Quinten Dew, Willard Bryant, Earl Lites and Riley Martin Patton. Survivors include: parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. P. He was 63 years old. Mrs. Jordan, who was formerly of Many had lived in that community for 12 years. He was a member of the Grace Nazarene church. Services were held at the Grace Church of the Nazarene under direction of Robenhorst funeral home. Church services followed at the Grace Church of the Nazarene. Interment was in Blackwell cemetery. The Rev. J. W McClung officiated. Survivors include Mr. Jordan's wife, the former Mae Phillips; one son, Elmer Jordan of Baton Rouge; five daughters, Mrs. Ray Drake and Mrs. L. W. Bankston of Baton Rouge, MR. T. J. Joe Flanagan, pastor for Jewella Baptist church, Shreveport, officiating, assisted by Rev. S. M. Mulkey, pastor, First Baptist church, Zwolle. Pallbearers were her nephews, Jack Napier, Jack Meshell, Marvin West, Gerald Meshell, Elbert Meshell and Howard West. Interment was in Aimwell cemetery with arrangements by Massingill funeral home. Surviving are: her husband, E. E. Meshell, Zwolle; a sister, Mrs. Mae Sherbeno, Shreveport; seven brothers, Ed Napier, Oak Grove, John Napier and Gus West, both of Zwolle, Bob West, Kirbyville, Texas, Jack West, Woodville, Texas, Hubert West, Hemphill, Texas and Tom West, Zwolle. Mrs. Meshell was loved by all who knew her. She had been ill for the past five years and was hospitalized most of that time. She was a member of Aimwell Baptist church and before her illness was active in religious affairs. Wesley Morris officiated, assisted by Elder D. W. Judd under direction Massingill funeral home. Interment was in the family cemetery. Pallbearers were: Rupert McKaskle, C. A. Hoagland, Hubert Andries, Cecil Wright, Horace Tompkins and A. M. Wagley. Mrs. Muse was born April 22, 1875, and was the mother of 11 children. Mrs. Muse accepted the gospel in her early married life, to which she remained true and an active member in her unassuming and charitable manner. Many found comfort and consolation in her home. Her home was especially open to the missionaries at all times. This an many other acts of kindness showed the greatness of a Christian who will long be remembered. Surviving relives are: W. M.
