The Sabine Index - Menerva Jane Salter

  27 Sep 1957 - Last rites for Mrs. Menerva Jane Salter, 79, who
died Sept. 21 at Many was conducted at Beulah Baptist church at 4
p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 with Rev. Willis Greer, officiating.
Interment was in church cemetery under the direction of Warren
Funeral Home.

  Survivors are husband, George Salter of Many, sons, George of
Negreet, Douglas of Bossier City, W. A. Salter of Many,
daughters, Mrs. C. M. Gray of Zwolle, Mrs. C. G. Miller of
Midland, Texas. Mrs. H. C. Stroud of Negreet, Mrs. A. K. Palmer
of Shreveport, brother, M. N. Gandy of Negreet, 14 grandchildren,
and 11 great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Truman Anthony, Rollie Patrick, Herbert Cryer,
Roy Stoud, James Wedgeworth and Lee Sibley.
