Tapp, 82, of Converse, were held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, January 7, at the Osborn Funeral Home Chapel in Shreveport. The Rev. Shannon Oglee, pastor of Midway Baptist Church in Sarpets, La., officiated. Burial was at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport. Mr. Tapp, a resident of Converse for 14 years, died at 4:15 a.m., Friday, January 4, 1985, at Virginia Hall Nursing Home, after a long illness. He was a native of Louisiana, and a former resident of Shreveport for 25 years. Mr. Tapp was co-owner of Steel Forging, Inc. in Shreveport. He was a member of Cedar Grove Masonic Lodge No. 465 F and AM, the Grand Chapter of the Royal Arch Masons, Shreveport Chapter No. 10, the Grand Commandry of Knights, Shreveport, Ascension No. 8, the Grand Council of R and SM of Louisiana, Council No. 23, the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Shreveport Consistory, the Converse Chapter No. 218, O.E.S., and the El Karubah Shrine Temple of Shreveport. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Effie Saab of Shreveport; three nieces; and two nephews. Pallbearers were Harold Bland, R. E. Cubley, A. J. Lewis, H. L Seward, Joe Cooper, and Anthony Toms. Honorary pallbearers were Cal Stainbrook, and all the employees of Steel Forging, Inc.
