Carman Tapia (Photo)

  Carman Tapia, 84, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, in Shreveport,
after a lengthy illness.

  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Oct. 12, at St. John
Baptist Catholic Church in Many, with interment following at St.
John Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery. Father Kenneth Williams of
St. Ann Catholic Church in Ebarb, officiated.

  Survivors include daughter, Ardelia H. Culverhouse and husband
Tyler of Shreveport; sister, Virginia S. Munos of Revenna, Ohio;
brother-in-law, Silvano Hinojosa of El Monte, Calif.; three
grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great-great
grandchild.

  Pallbearers were Chris Alford, Reid Turner, Billy Alford,
Raymond Alford, Thomas Alford, and Elvis Culverhouse.

  Mrs. Tapia was preceded in death by her husband, Miguel Tapia.
