All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Ollie Smith Tuppen (Photo) Mrs. Ollie Smith Tuppen, 81, died in the Doctor's Hospital in Shreveport, La. on Friday, Oct. 11, 1985, at 12:46 p.m., after a short illness. Mrs. Tuppen is survived by one son, Emmett Maxey of Shreveport, La.; one daughter, Mrs. Maxine Cooper of Shreveport, La.; one brother, Jimmy Smith of Shreveport; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 13, at ? p.m., in the Old Pleasant Hill Baptist church out of Hornbeck, with the Rev. Benny Crittenden, and the Rev. C. B. Chance officiating. Burial was in the Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were Charles Chism, Ray DuBose, David Weaver, Mike Jones, John Horton, and Dell Blair. Mrs. Tuppen was born and raised in Sabine Parish, but moved to Shreveport 22 years ago, where she made her residence until her death.
