  Faye Tippens - April 28, 1988

  Services for Mrs. Faye Tippens, 72, Elm Grove, were held at 10
a.m. Monday, April 25 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel with the
Rev. Gary Palmer, pastor of Elm Grove Baptist Church officiating.
Burial was at the Vivian Cemetery, Vivian, La.

  Mrs. Tippens died Friday, April 22, 1988 at Riverside Community
Hospital following a lengthy illness. A native of Bristol, Texas
she had been a resident of Elm Grove since 1948.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, W. A. Tippens.

  She is survived by two nieces, Anita Davis Johnston and Judy
Davis Thevenot; both of Baton Rouge; one maternal aunt, Bessie
Shatoska of Robeline, six great nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers: Larry Lott, Thomas J. Taylor Jr., Richard Sullivan,
Melvin Noon, Robert Wright, C. C. Rich, rob Crumpton, and
Blackshire Snyder Sr.
