Tabor, 88, of Converse died at 11:20 p.m. on March 6, following a short illness. Surviving relatives include two sons; Roy Tabor of Houston, Tex., and John B. Tabor Jr. of the U. S. Air Force, Germany; three daughters; Mrs. Thelma Lee Dueitt of McClain, Miss., Mrs. Elma Lou Blankenship of Citronelle, Ala., and Mrs. Agnes Irene Bosshart of Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Walter Tabor of Many; 24 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. on March 9, with the Rev. Brent Fleming officiating. Burial was in Bayou Scie Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were Bernie Lee Tabor, Wingate Dowden, R. T. Tabor, Lamar Evans, J. B. Veuleman, and H. R. Parmed.
