Tooke, 80, of Zwolle, died on Saturday, July 29, at 3:15 a.m., in Many, following an extended illness. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 30, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, at 4 p.m., with Father Gillis Boyer officiating. Burial followed in the Bayou Scie Cemetery. Pallbearers were Milton Mancil, James Peterson, S. L. Campbell, W. M. Russell, Morris Adair, James Lehr, Billey Maxey, and R. H. Parrott. Survivors include four sons, Cecil Tooke of Zwolle, Parrott Tooke of LaPlace, Alvin Tooke of Raceland, and Duhart Tooke of Portland, Oregon; two daughters, Mrs. Bobbie Boudreaux of Crawley, and Mrs. Doris Welker of Tucson, Arizona; three brothers, Emmitt McGurt of Mansfield, and Willie and Harry McGurt, both of Minden; two sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Price of Bossier City, and Mrs. Leota Ducy of Bossier City, seven grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
