Tooke, 77, were held at 2 p.m., at Bayou Scie Methodist Church. Rev. Hugh Warren officiated. Interment was in Bayou Scie Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Tooke passed away on Feb. 13, 1995, at his residence in Zwolle. Mr. Tooke was born on August 12, 1917, in Minden, to Mary McGurt and A. J. Tooke. Mr. Tooke was a veteran of WWII. Also Mr. Tooke was retired with Exxon Pipeline for over 33 years of service. Mr. Tooke was preceded in death by a brother, Duhart Tooke. Survivors include his widow, Laverne C. Tooke of Zwolle; two children, Robert Richard Tooke of Hamburg, Germany, and Deborah Ann Taylor of Bossier City; two sisters, Doris Welker of Tucson, Ariz., and Bobbie Boudreaux of Crowley; two brothers, Cecil Tooke, and P. F. Tooke, both of Zwolle; two grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews.
