Miss Gertrude Thigpen

  Graveside services for Miss Gertrude Thigpen, 92, of
Marthaville, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 19, at Grove Hill
Cemetery near Mansfield, under the direction of Drewett Funeral
Home in Mansfield. The Rev. Phil Evans, and the Rev. Gayle Dean
officiated.

  Miss Thigpen, a retired teacher, died Wednesday, June 17, 1987,
at Pleasant Hill Hospital, after a lengthy illness.

  She is survived by two sisters, Miss Ruth Thigpen, and Mrs. Ruby
Looney; and a brother, J. M. Thigpen, all of Marthaville; three
nephews; and one niece.
