Jasper Monroe Thigpen

  Graveside services for Mr. Jasper Monroe Thigpen, 94, were held
at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 18, at Grove Hill Cemetery near
Mansfield, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel.
Rev. Foster Jennings officiated, assisted by Rev. Ray Dyess.

  Mr. Thigpen passed away Wednesday, October 17, in Many, La.,
after a lengthy illness. He was a member of the Marthaville
Baptist Church, and was a mason.

  He is survived by one sister, Ruth Thigpen of Marthaville; one
niece, Mary Frances Crump of Pineville; two nephews, Charles
Thigpen of LeCompte, and Thomas Ross Crump of Baton Rouge.
