Agnes M. Thaxton

  Mrs. Agnes M. Thaxton, 82, of Quinlan, Tex., died on Monday,
Oct. 30, following an extended illness.

  Survivors include her husband, Calvin Thaxton of Quinlan, Tex.;
six sons, Harvey Thaxton of Peason, Coolidge Thaxton of Conroe,
Tex., Bemiss Thaxton of Pineville, Elmer Thaxton of Maszeak,
Fla., and Fred Thaxton of Springhill; five daughters, Mrs. Eva
Masters of Quinlan, Tex., Mrs. Wanda Chance, and Mrs. Edith
Thaxton, both of Garland, Tex., Mrs. Wilma Davis of Irving, Tex.,
and Mrs. Patsy Tarver of Waller, Tex.; two brothers, Sam Doiron
of Vidor, Tex., and L. T. Doiron of Bellville, Illinois; and one
sister, Mrs. Bertie Beel of Houston, Tex.

  Funeral services were held at the Oak Grove Baptist Church near
Hornbeck on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Marvin Brown
officiated. Burial was under the direction of the Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.
