Troy G. Thaxton

  Troy G. Thaxton, 72, of Plainview, died Friday, Dec. 14, at 12
a.m., in Fraser Hospital South, following a short illness.

  Services were held Sunday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m., in the Cenchrea
Nazarene Church, with the Rev. Robert Graham, and the Rev. J. C.
Leach officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

  Survivors include his wife, Decie Thaxton of Plainview; one son,
Mackie Thaxton of Florien; six daughters, Geneva Snell, Lovie
Rond, Ruby Rond, Melva Parker, Rebecca Hickman, all of Florien;
three brothers, Evon Thaxton, Tommie Thaxton, and Leon Thaxton,
all of Florien; six sisters, Ruby Alford, Velma Weldon, both of
Florien, Sybil Davis, Etoy Ellzey, and Kathleen Hardy, all of
Beaumont, Tx., Marleen Hardy of Houston, Tx.; 36 grandchildren,
and 18 great grandchildren.
